Crispy Fried Lotus Root

Crispy Fried Lotus Root
●Style: deep-frying
●Preparation and Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

◆lotus root 500 g

Seasonings

◎meat filling 100 g
◎a little spring onion
◎a little ginger
◎one egg
◎flour 1 tbsp
◎cornstarch 1 tsp
◎custard powder, chili sauce, ground pepper 1/2 tsp each
◎soup stock 1 tbsp
◎cooking wine 1 tbsp

Chinese food DIY Directions:

①Peel and rinse lotus root, slice 2/3 at first cut and slice apart the 2nd cut. Cut them in this way one by one and set aside.

②Add chili sauce, ginger juice, chopped onion, ground pepper and cooking wine into meat filling then stir well. Put flour, cornstarch, custard powder and egg into a bowl and combine them with water to a paste.

③Put stirred meat filling in between lotus root slices, and then spread a layer of paste on, brown them in hot fat.
